Basketball Game Preview: Pendleton Buckaroos vs. La Grande Tigers

The Pendleton Buckaroos will head out to challenge the La Grande Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pendleton is coming into the contest on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They took down McLoughlin 40-22 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, La Grande had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with a 51-30 victory. La Grande has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Pendleton's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for La Grande, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.

Pendleton couldn't quite finish off La Grande in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 54-51. Can Pendleton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
