Baseball Recap: Gann Academy Comes Up Short

If Gann Academy was feeling good fresh off their 18-0 takedown of Cambridge last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Heifers fell just short of Varsity Opponent by a score of 4-3 on Monday.

Adam Farb was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Ilan Newman was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Gann Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Gann Academy is taking a road trip to take on Wheeler at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will venture away from home to challenge Hamden Hall Country Day at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
