Football Recap: Lagrange Piles Up the Points Against Early County + How To Watch

LaGrange won the last time they faced Early County and things went their way on Friday too. The Grangers breezed past the Bobcats to the tune of 42-8. With the Grangers ahead 35-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Dylan Barber was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 139 yards and one TD on only five carries, and also threw for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine passes.

Barber was just one part of a punishing run game: LaGrange was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 303 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

LaGrange has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 34.5 points this season. As for Early County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, LaGrange will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Sandy Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 848 yards in their previous games. As for Early County, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Schley County at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
