Preview: Carnegie Schools-Riverside vs. Temecula Prep
After two weeks on the road, Temecula Prep is heading back home. They will square off against Carnegie Schools-Riverside at 7:00 PM on Friday. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Temecula Prep now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
Temecula Prep were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their matchup against Santa Rosa Academy last Friday. Temecula Prep took a 14-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santa Rosa Academy. The defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of senior Ethan Edwards, who caught passes for 65 yards and 2 touchdowns, and junior Patrick Warren, who passed for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Carnegie Schools-Riverside have been struggling to pick up a victory, with their contest against Rancho Christian making it three winless games in a row. Carnegie Schools-Riverside took a serious blow against Rancho Christian, falling 0-44. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
