Recap: Jeannette Jayhawks vs. East Allegheny Wild Cats

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Penn Hills, Jeannette was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the East Allegheny Wild Cats a 12-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what Jeannette needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

Grace Stein was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Stein was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jeannette got a big performance out of Addasyn Stout, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Jaidyn Born was another key contributor, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and a stolen base.

The victory got Jeannette back to even at 1-1. As for East Allegheny, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
