Soccer Game Preview: Garfield vs. Crestview

Garfield is 0-5 against Crestview since September 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The G-Men will venture away from home to face off against the Rebels at 5:00 p.m. Crestview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.6 goals per game this season.

Garfield fell victim to Brookfield and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 4-0.

Meanwhile, Crestview had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.0 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Bluejays get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. Given Crestview's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 164th, while Jackson-Milton are ranked 488th), the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Crestview has now won eight of their last 10 games on the road. That gives them a 7-1 record this season. The road victories were made possible by their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 49 goals over those 10 contests. As for Garfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Garfield suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Crestview when the teams last played on September 8, 2025. Can the G-Men avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll have the answer soon enough.
