Volleyball Recap: West Mesquite Takes a Loss

West Mesquite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to the San Angelo Central Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wranglers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2017.

Leading San Angelo Central to victory were Tori Robertson and Adyson Welch. Robertson had seven digs and two aces, while Welch had seven digs and one assist. Robertson is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

West Mesquite's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for San Angelo Central, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

West Mesquite wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Cleburne on the 14th. As for San Angelo Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Longview on the 14th.
