Basketball Recap: Shades Valley Skates Past Fairfield with Ease

Shades Valley won the last time they faced Fairfield and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Shades Valley Mounties took their matchup with ease, bagging a 57-24 victory over the Fairfield Tigers. Given the Mounties' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 125th, while the Tigers are ranked 309th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shades Valley has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Fairfield, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shades Valley will head out to challenge Oxford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fairfield, they are taking a road trip to face off against Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
