Volleyball Recap: First Baptist Christian Academy Triumphs

First Baptist Christian Academy hadn't done well against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Crusaders walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Dragons. For the Crusaders, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Dragons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2021.

First Baptist Christian Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-14, 25-15, 25-13.

The victory made it two in a row for First Baptist Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-6. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, First Baptist Christian Academy is taking a road trip to face off against First Coast Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against River City Science Academy at 6:30 p.m.
