Soccer Game Preview: Jenks vs. Piedmont

For the first time this season, Jenks will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to take on the Piedmont Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Jenks has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Piedmont will arrive with three straight victories.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Broken Arrow who was credited with the win on Friday. Broken Arrow got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to Jenks' three.

On Friday, Piedmont needed a bit of extra time to put away Southmoore. They won by a goal and slipped past the SaberCats 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Piedmont were the better team in the second half.

Jenks' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-3. As for Piedmont, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2-1.
