Basketball Recap: McPherson Takes a Loss

McPherson won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 70-16 loss at the hands of the Bishop Miege Stags. The contest marked the Bullpups' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

McPherson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Bishop Miege, the win was the ninth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, McPherson and Augusta will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Bishop Miege, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Saint Thomas Aquinas at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Bishop Miege has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three games.
