Softball Game Preview: Stryker Panthers vs. Edon Bombers

The Stryker Panthers will face off against the Edon Bombers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Stryker fell victim to Montpelier and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Locomotives, falling 17-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Locomotives: they've now lost six in a row.

Stryker saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaiden Palmer, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Edon also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 6-0 to Hilltop on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Bombers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Stryker's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Edon, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
