Baseball Game Preview: Spring Creek Gators vs. Beddingfield Bruins

The Spring Creek Gators will venture away from home to square off against the Beddingfield Bruins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Spring Creek has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Spring Creek fell victim to Goldsboro and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Gators' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Beddingfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-1 to Princeton.

Spring Creek's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Beddingfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.

Spring Creek came out on top in a nail-biter against Beddingfield in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 9-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
