Baseball Game Preview: Sherman Oaks CES Knights vs. Hollywood Sheiks

The Sherman Oaks CES Knights will square off against the Hollywood Sheiks at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Sherman Oaks CES came up short against Vaughn and fell 11-6.

Judah Sapong made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Leo Balerdi, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Hollywood came up short against East Valley on Monday, falling 15-4.

Sherman Oaks CES' loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.9 runs. As for Hollywood, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-2.

Sherman Oaks CES was able to grind out a solid win over Hollywood in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 3-0. Will Sherman Oaks CES repeat their success, or does Hollywood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
