Basketball Game Preview: Staunton Bulldogs vs. North Central Thunderbirds

The Staunton Bulldogs and the North Central Thunderbirds will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Staunton comes in on six and North Central on 13.

Staunton picked up another tournament win on Friday. They walked away with a 38-25 win over Robinson. The 38-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, North Central won against Altamont on Thursday with 49 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. North Central secured a 49-45 W over Oswego. Given the Thunderbirds' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 60th in Indiana, while the Panthers are ranked 315th in Illinois), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Staunton's victory bumped their record up to 12-1. As for North Central, their win bumped their record up to 13-0.
