Volleyball Recap: Lia Bragdon Key Part of Team Effort in Lions Win

Liberty Christian Prep lost to Landmark Christian on September 8th, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Lions won by a set and slipped past the Patriots 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (104-94) Liberty Christian Prep actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 15-25, 14-25, 15-13.

Liberty Christian Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lia Bragdon, who had 11 assists and five aces. That's the most aces Bragdon has posted over her last seven contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Kirven, who had 12 digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Liberty Christian Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in 11 consecutive matchups.

Liberty Christian Prep's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Landmark Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
