Baseball Game Preview: Chester Hambletonians vs. Pine Bush Bushmen

The Chester Hambletonians will challenge the Pine Bush Bushmen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Chester 3.8, Pine Bush 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Chester fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Monroe-Woodbury on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, Pine Bush entered their tilt with Valley Central last Monday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Vikings.

Pine Bush's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Chester, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.
