Basketball Game Preview: Pickering Red Devils vs. East Beauregard Trojans

The Pickering Red Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the East Beauregard Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pickering is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Pickering was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 68-63 to Negreet. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 252nd, while the Indians are ranked 90th).

Meanwhile, East Beauregard didn't have too much breathing room in their game against DeQuincy on Friday, but they still walked away with a 60-54 victory.

East Beauregard pushed their record up to 15-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Pickering, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15-1.

Pickering came up short against East Beauregard when the teams last played back in January, falling 63-51. Can Pickering avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
