Volleyball Game Preview: Wilson Mules vs. Franklin Panthers

The Wilson Mules will challenge the Franklin Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wilson, who comes in off a win.

Wilson took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Lincoln. The Mules haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Wilson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-22, 25-16, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against Eagle Rock, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19, 25-15.

Wilson's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Wilson was able to grind out a solid win over Franklin in their previous meeting back in March, winning 3-1. Will the Mules repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
