Softball Recap: Powell Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Powell's offense. They fell 5-0 to the Halls Red Devils on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost five in a row.

Powell's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Halls, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Powell will face off against rival Oak Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Halls is set to take on their familiar foe Knoxville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Red Devils 1, the Bobcats 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
