South Mecklenburg had won two straight games and Jim Gatehouse did his part to make it three on Tuesday. Everything went the South Mecklenburg Sabres' way against the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves as the South Mecklenburg Sabres made off with a 71-51 victory thanks in part to Gatehouse, who went 10 of 15 to rack up 25 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Ben Houpt, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 18 points and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's played.

South Mecklenburg's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Ballantyne Ridge, they dropped their record down to 2-22 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home.

Looking ahead, South Mecklenburg will square off against Myers Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ballantyne Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
