Baseball Recap: Fort Cherry Rangers vs. McGuffey Highlanders

After flying high against Bentworth last Wednesday, Fort Cherry came back down to earth. The Rangers fell just short of the McGuffey Highlanders by a score of 10-9 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rangers of the 11-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Ryan Huey was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 4-for-5. Those stolen bases were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Colton Temple, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
