Baseball Recap: Smithsburg Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Smithsburg kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Waynesboro Indians, falling 11-5.

Smithsburg saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Teson, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smithsburg will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Governor Thomas Johnson at 4:30 p.m. on March 21st. As for Waynesboro, they are taking a road trip to face off against Hedgesville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
