Volleyball Recap: Northeast Lauderdale Takes a Loss

Northeast Lauderdale lost against Northwest Rankin back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans lost 3-0 to the Cougars.

While Northeast Lauderdale ultimately came up short, they really made Northwest Rankin work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 27-25, 25-7.

Northwest Rankin found their leader in sophomore Sophie Tatum, who had four digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Sadie Tatum, who had ten digs and two aces.

Northeast Lauderdale's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Northwest Rankin, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast Lauderdale will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Neshoba Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwest Rankin, they will host Starkville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
