Basketball Recap: Midessa Takes a Loss

Midessa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a hard 62-48 fall against Texas Institute. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1560th, while Texas Institute are ranked 627th).

Midessa's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Texas Institute, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Midessa will head out on the road to square off against Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Texas Institute has already played their next contest, a 58-15 win against IDEA Bluff Springs on the 13th.
