Softball Recap: Gonzaga Prep Takes a Loss

Gonzaga Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-3 to the Lewis & Clark Tigers. If the Bullpups were looking for revenge after losing 21-11 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Reese Jones-Ross made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Kate Van Loben Sels, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Gonzaga Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Lewis & Clark, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-7.

Gonzaga Prep and Lewis & Clark will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Bullpups see the field they'll take on Ridgeline at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Lewis & Clark, their break will end when they face Shadle Park at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th.
