Basketball Recap: Hawthorne Takes a Loss

Hawthorne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 100-12 loss at the hands of the Inglewood Sentinels. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

It was another big night for Jason Crowe Jr, who went 14 of 22 on his way to 33 points in addition to eight assists and five boards for Inglewood. Crowe Jr's evening made it 19 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Cayim White was another key player, going 9 for 19 en route to 26 points and three steals.

Hawthorne's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Inglewood, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hawthorne has already played their next game (against Centennial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Inglewood will challenge Culver City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Inglewood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 21 contests.
