Soccer Recap: Christ the King Comes Up Short

Christ the King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 6-1 to the Community School of Davidson Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Community School of Davidson this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 back in September.

Christ the King's goal came courtesy of Gavin Parkhouse, which was the first he's scored this season.

Christ the King's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Community School of Davidson, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Christ the King is set to face off against their familiar foe Lincoln Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Community School of Davidson will challenge rival Pine Lake Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
