Basketball Game Preview: Perry Ramblers vs. Potterville Vikings

The Perry Ramblers will challenge the Potterville Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Perry is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 60 points on Monday, they were much more limited against Fowler on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Eagles, falling 57-19. The contest marked the Ramblers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Potterville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 70-25 loss at the hands of Pewamo-Westphalia. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 578th, while the Pirates are ranked 80th).

Perry's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points over those games. As for Potterville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

Perry didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Potterville when the teams last played on Monday, but they still walked away with a 60-54 win. Does Perry have another victory up their sleeve, or will Potterville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
