Basketball Recap: Mantachie Takes a Loss

Mantachie lost against Ripley back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs were outmatched by the Tigers and fell 56-23.

Mantachie dropped their record down to 5-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Ripley, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Mantachie won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tupelo Christian Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ripley, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on New Site at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense better be ready for this one: the Royals have averaged an impressive 56.2 points per game this season.
