Baseball Game Preview: Westmont Warriors vs. Milpitas Trojans

Westmont has gone 6-1 against Milpitas recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Westmont Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Milpitas Trojans at 12:00 p.m. Westmont is looking for their season's first victory.

Westmont managed to slip by Homestead the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Westmont lost 10-3 to Homestead on Wednesday.

Peyton Hines made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Roman Soto also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Milpitas came up short against Leigh on Thursday, falling 15-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Longhorns: they've now lost four in a row.

Milpitas also got a good showing from Brody Vogel, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Milpitas now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Westmont, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

Westmont came up short against Milpitas in their previous matchup on Tuesday, falling 7-4. Can Westmont avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
