Basketball Game Preview: Marion Bulldogs vs. Cole Cougars

Marion hasn't had much luck against Cole recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Marion Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cole Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Marion will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Marion earned a 59-48 win over Ingram Moore.

Meanwhile, Cole beat Canyon Lake 55-45 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Marion has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Cole, their victory bumped their record up to 17-7.

Marion came up short against Cole in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 47-35. Thankfully for Marion, James Livingston (who went 8 for 15 on his way to 22 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks) won't be suiting up this time.
