Louisa County won the last time they faced Goochland and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lions came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 6-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Louisa County got a great performance from Lily Ruckle as she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Ruckle has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alyssa Hopkins was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Laci Garrett, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Louisa County's record now sits at 12-5. As for Goochland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-9.

Coming up, Louisa County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Charlottesville at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in the Lions' favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while the Black Knights have been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road. Goochland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
