Volleyball Game Preview: Cherokee Bluff Bears vs. Mary Persons Bulldogs

The Cherokee Bluff Bears will face off against the Mary Persons Bulldogs on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cherokee Bluff is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Sandy Creek 3-2.

Cherokee Bluff took Sandy Creek into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-8, 18-25, 22-25, 16-14.

Meanwhile, Mary Persons had already won ten in a row and they went ahead and made it 11 on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 3-0 win. The Bulldogs not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0).

Mary Persons not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Riverdale between 13 and 16 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-13.

Mary Persons' victory bumped their record up to 27-7. As for Cherokee Bluff, their win bumped their record up to 28-13.
