Volleyball Recap: Halifax Academy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Halifax Academy hadn't done well against Kerr-Vance Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Vikings put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on four straight.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Halifax Academy took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-8.

Halifax Academy was led to victory by Payton Odom and Emma Inscoe. Odom had 24 assists and five aces, while Inscoe had nine digs and eight aces. That's the most digs Inscoe has posted over her last six contests.

They weren't the only good server: Halifax Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 15 aces in four consecutive matches.

Halifax Academy's record is now 5-2. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
