Basketball Recap: Grand Forks Central Falls Short of Sheyenne in the Playoffs

Grand Forks Central and Sheyenne squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Grand Forks Central had to settle for second. They came up short against the Sheyenne Mustangs, falling 70-48. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Grand Forks Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Sheyenne, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-14 record.

Coming up, Grand Forks Central will venture away from home to challenge Bismarck at 4:00 p.m. on March 13th. One thing working in Bismarck's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Sheyenne, they will host Fargo Davies at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sheyenne will be up against Fargo Davies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.52 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
