Baseball Recap: Marion County Comes Up Short

Marion County extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 3-8. They lost 9-0 to the Berry Wildcats. The Red Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in March of 2025.

As for Berry, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.

For Berry's part, Myles Woodfin was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The Wildcats are 3-1 when Woodfin posts three or more RBI, but 4-6 otherwise. Walker Edmonson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

While Marion County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
