Basketball Recap: Norwayne Extends Winning Streak to Four

Norwayne won the last time they faced Hillsdale, and Tyson Hess did his part to make sure it happened again. The Norwayne Bobcats put the hurt on the Hillsdale Falcons with a sharp 66-40 victory on Saturday thanks in part to Hess, who went 10 of 13 on his way to 26 points along with four steals and three blocks. Those three blocks gave him a new career-high.

The win was the fourth in a row for Norwayne, bringing their record for this year to 11-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Hillsdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norwayne will host Smithville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Norwayne has won four straight at home, while Smithville won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Hillsdale, they will welcome Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
