Baseball Recap: Westgate Comes Up Short

Westgate fell victim to North Vermilion and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the North Vermilion Patriots, falling 15-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost five in a row.

Westgate's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for North Vermilion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westgate will challenge Comeaux at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Comeaux is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season. As for North Vermilion, they will take on Northside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
