Preview: Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights vs. Amelia Academy Patriots
The Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Amelia Academy Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Thursday, Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot came up short against Southampton Academy and fell 35-28. Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot has struggled against Southampton Academy recently, as their match last Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot saw an underclassman step up: Erin Maynes scored ten points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Maynes hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Charlie Potter was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.

Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Amelia Academy, who are still winless after their fifth match. They were outmatched by Brunswick Academy at home and fell 65-21. Amelia Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-7.
Isabella Arbitelle put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 16 points along with five steals. That was a full 76.2% of Amelia Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Amelia Academy, they bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 33 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Amelia Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 26.2 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
