Basketball Recap: West Lafayette Piles Up the Points Against Frankfort

A well-balanced attack led West Lafayette over Frankfort in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the West Lafayette Red Devils blew the Frankfort Hot Dogs out of the water with a 73-39 final score. The Red Devils pushed the score to 57-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hot Dogs had little chance of recovering from.

Frankfort's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lucas Waggoner, who went 5 of 8 en route to 15 points, and RJ Cornman, who posted nine points along with six assists and six boards. Waggoner's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Adams, who earned seven points and six rebounds.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points per game.
