Softball Recap: Murdock Takes a Loss

Murdock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Gardner Wildcats, falling 17-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 two weeks ago.

Madelyn Santos was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Murdock's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Gardner, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Murdock will challenge Prouty at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gardner, they will take on Tahanto Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
