Atchison County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 53-39 bruising from the Oskaloosa Bears. One positive for the Tigers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Oskaloosa found their leader in sophomore Derrick Harvey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Harvey has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Carter Boyd was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards.

Atchison County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Oskaloosa, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9.

Atchison County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Horton on February 7th. Oskaloosa has already played their next matchup (against Jackson Heights), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
