Baseball Game Preview: Isle of Wight Academy Chargers vs. Arcadia Firebirds

The Isle of Wight Academy Chargers will take on the Arcadia Firebirds at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Isle of Wight Academy came into their game last Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Norfolk Academy, falling 9-2.

Isle of Wight Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Wells, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Arcadia made easy work of Westmoreland on Friday and carried off a 9-1 win. The Firebirds haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

The win got Arcadia back to even at 1-1. As for Isle of Wight Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
