Desert (Edwards AFB, Calif.) put up 10 points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 30-8 victory over
Frazier Mountain (Lebec, Calif.).
The Scorpions were up 20-8 at the half after taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the first quarter.
Matthew Moore played well for Desert in the victory. He ran for one touchdown. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
The Falcons'
Kevin Enciso played well. The senior wingback ran for one touchdown. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
Frazier Mountain's lone touchdown came on a 6-yard run by Enciso in the second quarter.
DHS had struggled this season, allowing 32.7 points per game. However, the Edwards AFB school's defense dug in and limited FM well below its season average of 24.3 points per game.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Scorpions came away with a 36-0 victory.
The win was a nice bounce back for Desert, which lost to Bishop last week, 47-13.
In a High Desert game next week Frazier Mountain (4-3) takes on Bishop, and Desert (4-3) will go up against Rosamond also in a High Desert game.
