Game recap: Hamilton High School Football Team bests Trinity

HAMILTON CITY, Calif. - Hamilton (Hamilton City, Calif.) saw its 24-point lead dwindle to 10, but still managed to hang on and beat Trinity (Weaverville, Calif.) 40-30 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, the Braves led 32-16 at the half.

Hamilton expanded its lead to 18 points entering the fourth quarter. HHS scored two times in the third, including once on a rushing touchdown.

Nick Moreno played well for the Wolves. The junior tight end ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown.



Andrew Shippelhoute stood out for the Hamilton City school in the win. He ran for one touchdown. He has now scored 13 touchdowns on the season.

The defeat comes as a step back for Trinity, which notched a 67-35 victory over Mt. Shasta in its previous outing.
