It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Longmeadow had no problem doing just that on Monday. They blew past the Notre Dame Academy Cougars 3-0. The Lancers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.
Longmeadow never let Notre Dame Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18, 25-22.
Emilie Roque paced Longmeadow's offense, picking up 13 kills. Roque got some help from Chloe Scott and her 31 assists. Angela Humble controlled things from the service line, finishing with 12 aces.
The victory made it two in a row for Longmeadow and bumps their season record up to 20-3. As for Notre Dame Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-5.
As of now, neither Longmeadow nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
