Basketball Game Preview: Grand County Red Devils vs. Draper APA Eagles

The Grand County Red Devils will venture away from home to square off against the Draper APA Eagles at 12:15 p.m. on Monday. Grand County is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Grand County fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Tabiona on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 70-67. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Red Devils have suffered since December 6, 2024.

Meanwhile, Draper APA ended up a good deal behind Rowland Hall on Friday and lost 74-55.

Grand County will need to focus on slowing down Jones Strong, one of several Draper APA players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 19 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Urban Baldwin, who had 17 points.

Draper APA's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Grand County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Grand County couldn't quite finish off Draper APA when the teams last played back in January and fell 56-54. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
