The Byron-Bergen Bees will head out on the road to take on the Wheatland-Chili Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Back in December of 2023, Byron-Bergen didn't have too much trouble with Fillmore on the road as they won 80-66. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Byron-Bergen.

Braedyn Chambry had a dynamite game for Byron-Bergen, dropping a double-double on 41 points and 18 rebounds. Brody Baubie was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Wheatland-Chili came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Kendall with points to spare, taking the game 58-41.

Leighton Williams was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Wheatland-Chili's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anari Trotter, who scored 12 points.

Byron-Bergen pushed their record up to 2-0 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.55 points. As for Wheatland-Chili, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Byron-Bergen couldn't quite finish off Wheatland-Chili when the teams last played back in February of 2023 and fell 77-74. Can Byron-Bergen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
