Basketball Game Preview: Grove City Christian Eagles vs. Westfall Mustangs

The Grove City Christian Eagles will challenge the Westfall Mustangs at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Grove City Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Grove City Christian faced off against Miller on Saturday. Grove City Christian fell 51-41 to Miller. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Landon Brunicardi, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Harmeyer, who had six points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Westfall came up short against Wheelersburg on Saturday and fell 84-71. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Pirates are ranked 207th).

Grove City Christian now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Westfall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Grove City Christian couldn't quite finish off Westfall when the teams last played back in November of 2021 and fell 70-67. Can Grove City Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
